Pet dog training is available for all breeds at our training fields (location near PE28 5LU).
Whether you have a puppy, adolescent or adult dog, we can help you. If you have a problem that you would like to fix, or you would like to give your pup the best start with its training then we would be delighted to help you.
Matt has trained dogs seriously since 1997. Whilst he trains his his own dogs as gundogs, they are also much loved pets and companions. He has been offering both one to one and group training for pets since the turn of the millennium and has built up a considerable experience of working with a large variety of different breeds.
Matt firmly believes in his approach that we should “train the dog in front of us, not the one in the book and not the one we would like it to be!” This means that the training approach is tailored to the temperament and attributes of both the dog and its owner.
Rachel has owned dogs all her life. As well as labradors and spaniels she has also owned English setters, terriers, German shepherds and various cross breeds. Rachel loves working with puppies and runs many of our group and individual puppy training sessions.
Some of the issues we can help you with are;
One-to-one training
Sessions last approximately an hour and are £40. Lessons will be tailored to the needs of the owner.
Secure training field
We also have a secure exercise field that can be used for individual training lessons. If you feel that this would benefit your dog, please let us know when you book your session.
Group Training
We offer a number of group training classes for both puppies and older dogs. Please get in touch to check what we have available.

If you would like to train in a small group with a couple of friends, then please get in touch and we will be happy to try and accommodate you.
Pets With A Hobby
If you like the idea of giving your dog a go at gundog training, then I’d be delighted to help! Even if you have no intention of taking it shooting, or even if you don’t have a traditional gundog breed. As long as your dog is a reasonably keen retriever, we can use some gundog training exercises to enhance your training and have fun with your dog.
Home Visits
We can occasionally visit your home where that is the most appropriate means of working on your dogs issues. Also those people who are struggling with a very young puppy may also benefit from a home visit. Please note that these are only available for people in the Thrapston and Oundle area.
