Obedience Training
I offer obedience training on a one-2-one basis. These sessions are open to any breed of dog, all levels welcome.
Most people come to me with a wish list, and first up is usually walking on a lead without pulling, followed by recall! Just these two elements are the most important when walking your dogs out and about.
Individual lessons are priced at £40. Groups by arrangement.

Behavioural Problems
Pulling on the lead
Poor recall
Barking and lunging at other dogs / people
Inappropriate chasing
Aggression
Off lead control
I will work with you to identify the reasons for any behavioural issues, and develop a strategy for modifying that behaviour. This will be based on kind but effective methods appropriate to the dog and the owner.
Perhaps you would like to attend obedience classes, but have found that you and your dog would benefit from some initial individual work before you rejoin group training.

Kennel Club 'Good Citizen' Training
I have extensive experience of helping owners train their dogs to pass the Kennel Club Good Citizen scheme awards. I have worked with a wide variety of breeds from St Bernards through to the smallest toy breeds.

Introduction to gundog work
Your relationship with your dog can almost always be improved by training him to do ‘something’. Many pet dogs still retain working instincts, drives or even just a great deal of energy! These instincts can often cause frustration and behavioural problems if not channelled appropriately. These can often be improved and even avoided altogether by embarking on a rewarding and challenging training programme.
This kind of training is particularly suitable for working, herding and gundog breeds but it can be great fun unlocking the potential of even the most laid-back pet.
